Following a decision of the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), Schalke 04 does not have to pay a belated transfer fee for Filip Trojan. Trojan's previous Club Slavia Prague claimed 485,000 Euros.

Before the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) the German Cup winner Schalke 04 won the transfer fee dispute over Slavia Prague. The CAS declined the claim of the Czech Club for a subsequent transfer fee. Slavia had sued for recovery of a transfer compensation plus interest in the amount of 485,000 Euros.

In 1999 Trojan transferred as a 16 year-old to Schalke and played in the juniors' team of the Club. In 2002 the striker signed a professional contract until 2004, thereafter he transferred to VfL Bochum."
